Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

Sumana Construction needs skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our ground team. You will be responsible for operating heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, backhoes) safely and efficiently to support site preparation, excavation, and grading operations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company safety policies.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials.
• Communicate clearly with ground crew and foremen via radio/signals.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and stored securely after shifts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• 2+ years experience operating heavy machinery.
• Strong understanding of worksite safety and hand signals.
