Health & Safety Officer

Job Description

Safety is our top priority at Sumana Construction. We are looking for a certified Health & Safety Officer to facilitate compliance with OHS guidelines. You will provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations and keep a constant watch on site operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enforce OHS policies (e.g., accident reporting, PPE).
• Conduct training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
• Inspect premises and machinery to identify possible unsafe conditions.
• Investigate accidents to discover causes and handle worker compensation claims.
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.

Qualifications:

• BSc/BA in Safety Management or relevant field.
• Valid qualification in occupational health and safety (OSHA/NEBOSH).
• Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
• Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
